Industries/Construction & EPC

One register from bid to as-built.

Operon reads the bid package once and keeps it. P&IDs, line lists, isometrics, plans and specs become a register your estimators price from, your change team compares every reissue against and your client receives at handover.

The module, spool by spool

Every spool on the isometrics is a lift on the schedule.

A pipe-rack module as it comes together in the yard: every spool, flange and weld counted from the isometrics, and the register that priced it is the one that tracks it to as-built. Hover any spool.

The work today

What contractors and EPCs face on every project

01

Take-offs on a bid clock

The tender window is fixed; the sheet count is not. When counting runs past the deadline, quantities get factored off historical norms and the gap is closed with an allowance that either loses the job or eats the margin.

02

Revision drift between issues

Between IFD, IFR, IFC and as-built, the package reissues dozens of times and deltas are found by eye. A missed delta is rework you absorb; a late one is a variation you argue without evidence.

03

Scope priced off the client's archive

A brownfield client hands over decades of scans and superseded revisions with no reliable tag register, and revamp scope gets priced off a walkdown sample.

04

Retention behind the turnover package

Final acceptance waits on as-builts, line lists and tag registers assembled at close-out by a team already demobilizing, shipped as thousands of PDFs with no traceability.

What Operon does

Bid-stage material take-off

Counted, not sampled.

Valves, in-line items, instruments, equipment and line numbers counted across every P&ID in the package, with confidence scores and a verification pass your estimators own. The register you price from is the one procurement, change and handover work from after award.

  • Every sheet, every line number, every in-line item, not a sample extrapolated.

  • Every count links back to the sheet and region it came from.

  • Fitting, flange and support counts follow as the isometrics issue.

Drawing control, IFD to as-built

Every issue diffed against the last.

One register spanning IFD, IFR, IFC and as-built, with detected changes surfaced as a structured diff tied to the region of the sheet. Your change team carries it into a change notice or variation claim with the evidence attached.

  • Added, removed and changed items listed per issue, not discovered on an overlay.

  • Each delta carries the before and after regions of the drawing.

  • On work inside an operating plant, the same evidence feeds the owner's MOC package.

Brownfield survey digitization

Price revamps off a register, not a sample.

Legacy scans, faded isometrics and obsolete CAD become a structured asset register at bid where the archive is available, and at kickoff where it is not. Contradictions are documented before they become field claims.

  • Scans, TIFFs and legacy CAD exports are normal inputs.

  • Where documents disagree, the conflict is recorded with both sources.

  • Field teams check a register instead of building one from scratch.

As-built & handover packages

Turnover your client can query.

Verified line lists, tag registers and drawing indexes handed over as data, with tag-to-drawing traceability on every record. The client takes over a live system, not a folder of PDFs.

  • Every tag links to the drawings that show it.

  • Owner review runs against structured data instead of a document dump.

  • The instance can transfer to the owner at close-out.

Questions we hear

  • Yes. Most construction customers start with a take-off on a live bid, so the first result is a number they can price from.

  • IFD, IFR, IFC and as-built, plus any intermediate issues and addenda your project uses.

  • Yes. At close-out the instance can transfer with the project, so the owner receives a live system rather than a static deliverable.
