Bid-stage material take-off
Valves, in-line items, instruments and line numbers counted across every P&ID and isometric in the bid package, so the estimate starts from the whole package instead of a sample.

- Works with
- Estimators and proposal teams at EPCs and piping contractors
- Starts from
- P&IDs, isometrics, line lists and piping specs
- Delivers
- An MTO by line, size and spec, traced to each sheet
01
Summary
A bid package can hold hundreds of P&IDs and thousands of isometrics, and the bid window is a few weeks. Teams sample, extrapolate and carry allowances, and the gap between the estimate and what gets built shows up later as lost margin.
Operon reads the package in full: every valve, in-line item, instrument and line number on the P&IDs, and the fittings and lengths on the isometrics, grouped by line, size, class and spec. Estimators start from complete counts and spend their time on pricing and risk.
